West Cork

Starting from Kinsale and following the Wild Atlantic Way along beautiful and jagged coastlines and around to the Beara Peninsula and incorporating many wonderful in land places, West Cork truly is ‘A Place apart’ and worth visiting for any traveller. Heir Island is nestled in a little corner of West Cork and is lucky to have such beautiful and fantastic places surrounding it. There are traditional villages, quaint towns, all offering unique experiences. The food and culinary delights are well renowned and plentiful in the region. The rugged coastline is a playground for surfers, sea kayakers, windsurfers, adventurers and more. With many Blue Flag Beaches in the area, Blue Way Routes, Special Areas of Conservation, mountains, hill walks, lighthouses, etc, there is something for everybody.
