Our Sailing area
Being based on Heir island, our sailing school has a unique charm that many agree is like no other. Situated right in the middle of Roaring water bay between Sherkin Island and West and East Skeam, Heir island is in the middle of all the action. Accessed by ferry from Cunnamore Pier or by personal watercraft from Baltimore harbour or Schull Harbour Heir island Sailing School is only a 10 minute walk from the main pier on Heir island (can be seen directly across from Cunnamore pier). Our sailing school is situated on the north side of the island and can be seen from the main land on Cunamore pier. Our main Sailing area is based just in front of our sailing school between the island and the main land. This a beautiful area which is greatly sheltered and free from many hazards. Being based on the island also allows us to move our sailing area to different parts of the island to either find more wind our use our island as wind shelter. This allows us to get out more often in a more save manor.
